And the latest game to join Nintendo's bandwagon? None other than the game of mind-shattering dungeon crawling, Darkest Dungeon. Would you be interested in playing a Switch version of Darkest Dungeon? The game features a compelling old school aesthetic, and has been a favorite among gamers who like their exploration with a little punishment on the side. In Darkest Dungeon, players lead a group of heroes through harrowing dungeon environment while dealing with the side effects of their dwindling sanity. Numerous publishers large and small have already announced ports of their most popular games for the new device. The game is already available on the Vita, after all, and it could be a perfect match for the on-the-go gameplay for which the Nintendo Switch is known. If Darkest Dungeon winds up releasing on the Switch, it would hardly come as a surprise.

Red Hook Studios, the game’s developer, has posted a tweet appearing to show the game being played on the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode: Now it looks like the game’s next stop may be the Nintendo Switch. Beloved by critics, the demanding RPG was eventually ported to various other platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Vita in late 2016. Darkest Dungeon first arrived on PC in February of 2015.
